We donate our technology to important causes
Friend MTS’ video fingerprint technology is one of the most widely used video recognition technologies in the world. In 2014 Friend MTS donated technology to the International Centre for Missing and Exploited Children (ICMEC) to assist in their work of both aiding the rescue of victims of child abuse worldwide, and combating the trade in and dissemination of child abuse material (child pornography) on the internet. Today the technology is used worldwide for both of these goals. Law enforcement uses it to optimise their investigations by quickly analysing the tens of thousands of hours of video they receive in a typical seizure. It also enables collaboration between law enforcement worldwide to identify and rescue new victims faster. Our technology is also used by online video and cloud storage platforms to block the distribution of video child pornography.
